What are the Secure Exchange configuration settings on Gmail?
This article presents the settings window of the Secure Exchanges extension in Gmail and the options you can define there. You go there to adjust your email preferences, your default security options, the language of your Secure Exchanges account and your signature image. Consult it once the extension is installed and your licence is activated, when you want to adapt Secure Exchanges to the way you work.
Prerequisites
- The Secure Exchanges extension is installed in your browser (Chrome or Edge) and your licence is activated: see How do I install and activate Secure Exchanges on Gmail?.
- Gmail is open in the browser where the extension is installed.
To configure Secure Exchanges settings in Gmail, click on the Secure Exchanges extension and then on Settings. The following window will then appear, including various options:
Available options
You can therefore define email options by checking or unchecking your preferences and setting the number of opens and expiration times that suit you. You can choose to enable or disable Secure Exchanges and set the language of your Secure Exchanges account. You can also choose the default security options, either "Secure the entire message" or "Only the attachments". Do not forget to save all your changes so that they are taken into account.
Troubleshooting
