How do I return a document for signature?

How do I resend a document for signature to my recipient?

If a recipient has lost or deleted the original email containing a document to sign, you can send them a new signature link from your SESAR.

Prerequisites

  • a Pro licence
  • a SESAR licence
  • SESAR version 23.01.0706 or later
Note: This feature can be found in the online portal, under "Signature Tracking". For more information, see How can I track the status of my documents sent for signature?.

Step 1: Resend the email

The Resend the email button lets you generate a new signature link from the copy of the document archived in your SESAR.

This feature is useful if:

  • the signatory deleted their email
  • they claim not to have received it
  • the original link has expired
  1. When you click Resend email, a window opens with the option to add a password, optional but recommended.
  2. Your SESAR receives the instruction and retrieves the signed document or the document that is in the process of being signed.
  3. SESAR recreates a new secure link and automatically sends it to the recipient.
Warning: The original email is no longer available. Only the new link will be valid.
Note: SESAR checks requests every minute, so sending may take a few minutes. The date and time of the resend are displayed in the tracking for confirmation.
