How do I access my journal from Outlook Web?

The Secure Exchanges logs in Outlook Web let you review the activity linked to the emails you send: sending, opening, downloading, signing and other actions associated with your secure messages. This functionality is built directly into the Secure Exchanges add-in in Outlook Web.

Step 1: Open a compose window

In Outlook Web, click "New Message" to open the compose window.

Step 2: Open the Secure Exchanges application

Launch the Secure Exchanges application.

Step 3: Open the logs

Click the "Logs" option.

Step 4: Choose the period to review

In the Log Retrieval window:

  • Choose your start date;
  • Choose your end date for the period you want to review.

Step 5: Get your logs

Click "Get my logs".

Explanation of the columns

The main table displays the following columns:

  • R: retrieve a message sent through Secure Exchanges (requires the SESAR licence).
  • Date: when the secure message was sent.
  • Latest activity: timestamp of the most recent recipient action.
  • Subject: subject line of the message sent.
  • Status: message state (Open, Unread, Expired, Deleted, etc.).
  • Recipient: recipient's email address.
  • Number of files: number of files included in the message.
  • Activities: number of activities on the message.
  • Kind: send type (message, reply).
  • Delete: revoke access to a message.
