What are the Secure Exchanges configuration settings on Outlook Web?

Various Secure Exchanges settings can be configured easily in Outlook Web. To reach them, simply open the Secure Exchanges settings directly from Outlook Web.

Step 1: Open the Secure Exchanges settings

  1. Create a new message so that the Secure Exchanges window appears on the right side of your screen.
  2. Select "Settings".

Step 2: Review the configurable options

You will then find several configurable options.

Message settings

In this section, you can customize the sending and receiving settings for your secure emails. This includes the interface and communication language, as well as the default security options. These settings can be adjusted for each email through a pop-up window when sending.

Opening options

Here, you can define the maximum number of openings allowed and the validity period for your secure envelopes and messages. You can also choose to receive notifications when a message is read, for optimal monitoring of your communications.
