How do I activate my license for a shared mailbox in Outlook Web?
This article explains how to activate your Secure Exchanges licence for a shared mailbox in Outlook Web.
Prerequisites
Before activation:
- Verify that an administrator has successfully deployed Secure Exchanges in your organization.
- If this is not the case, follow the appropriate deployment procedure before proceeding: Install Secure Exchanges on Outlook Web
Step 1: Access Outlook Web
Sign in to Outlook Web, then click New message to open a compose window.
Step 2: Open the applications
Click the Apps icon (grid) in Outlook Web.
Step 3: Open Secure Exchanges
From the list of apps, select Secure Exchanges.

Step 4: Select the email address
Choose the email address or the shared mailbox you wish to activate.
Note: if the address selection field does not appear, go to "Options", then check "Show the From field".
Step 5: Activate the licence
Click "Activate my license".
