Account administrators can upgrade a licence, for example from an Advanced licence to a Pro licence, in just a few clicks and directly from the Secure Exchanges online portal.

Log in and open licence management

  1. Log in to the Secure Exchanges online portal with your administrator account. If needed, see Log in to the Secure Exchanges online portal.
  2. In the left menu, click on License & Purchase.

Identify the licence to upgrade

  1. At the bottom of the page, locate the table of purchased licences.
  2. Find the line corresponding to the current licence to be upgraded, for example Advanced API.
  3. Click the number listed in the Assigned Licenses column.

This displays the list of users who hold that licence.

Select the user and the new licence

  1. In the window that opens, check the box for the user or users concerned.
  2. In the drop-down menu at the bottom of the window, select the desired new licence, for example API Pro.


Note: in the upgrade window, the drop-down list only displays licences of a higher level than the one currently held by the selected user.

Confirm the upgrade

  1. Click the Upgrade button.
  2. Review the new window, which displays the amount to be paid immediately, calculated pro rata to the current licence, and the renewal amount charged at the next billing cycle.
Note: if your account has an active discount, it will be applied automatically.

Payment and activation

  • Complete the payment.
  • The user automatically receives their new licence, without interruption of service.
