Secure Exchanges offers a simplified and secure login process using Microsoft authentication. This option is ideal for Office 365 users or businesses using Microsoft Azure Active Directory. Here's how to use this authentication method to access the Secure Exchanges online portal.

What is Microsoft authentication?

Microsoft authentication lets you sign in to the Secure Exchanges portal using your Microsoft work or educational credentials. This simplifies the sign-in process while enhancing security with built-in Microsoft protections, such as two-factor authentication (2FA).

Steps to sign in with Microsoft authentication

1. Access the login page

Visit the Secure Exchanges online portal.

2. Select "Sign in with Microsoft"

On the login page, you will see two options:

  • Enter your license credentials.
  • Sign in with Microsoft : Click on this button located below the main form.

3. Enter your Microsoft credentials

Once redirected to the Microsoft login page:

  • Enter your work or educational email address associated with your Microsoft account.
Notes Note: You must sign in to the Microsoft account you use for Secure Exchanges.
  • Enter your password and confirm.
Info
When an administrator signs in for the first time with Microsoft authentication, they will be given an option to approve and authorize access for the entire organization.

Otherwise, users will have to authorize Secure Exchanges to access their information themselves.
  • Here's what they will see:

Notes Note: If your organization uses two-factor authentication (2FA) , you will need to enter the verification code to complete the login. If you also use Secure Exchange Authentication in addition to Microsoft Authentication, you will be asked for both.
Warning
Please note that if no two-factor authentication method is used, you will need to enter an opening code that will be sent to you by Secure Exchanges in your email inbox.

4. Access your user area

Once authenticated, you will be automatically redirected to your space on the Secure Exchanges portal.

Return protection via Microsoft authentication.

Secure Exchanges offers advanced features to protect returned documents or envelopes, ensuring enhanced security for sensitive information. Here's everything you need to know about this feature and how to activate it. Two main options are available for this protection:
  1. Protection by a one-time SMS code: A code is sent to the sender via SMS to verify their identity before they can access the received documents.
  2. Protection by a code via Microsoft: A code is sent to the sender via Microsoft to verify their identity before they can access the received documents.
Warning These features are only available with a Pro license

To activate this protection, log in to the Secure Exchanges online portal. Go to the "My Account" section and select the protection options you wish to enable. If you select both protection methods (SMS and Microsoft), you will be able to choose your preferred method when opening your secure returns to access the documents.
