How can I secure replies to my secure emails and envelopes?

Secure replies to my messages and envelopes in Secure Exchanges

The Protected Replies feature automatically secures everything your clients send back to you following a Secure Exchanges message.

It applies to:

  • signed documents;

  • files uploaded into a secure envelope;

  • any content your client sends back using the “Reply” button in Secure Exchanges after accessing your secure message.

When this protection is enabled, you can be confident that all replies remain confidential when they arrive in your inbox.

Info
This feature is available only with Pro licenses.

How does protected replies work?

1. You send a secure message or an envelope to collect confidential information.

2. Your client opens your message in the secure environment. If they click the “Reply” button in Secure Exchanges, upload a document, or complete a signature:
      → their reply is automatically protected.

3. When you receive the reply in your inbox:
      → you must authenticate before accessing the content, either:

  • via an SMS code, or

  • via Microsoft authentication, depending on the option selected.

Enable protected replies

1. Sign in to the Secure Exchanges online portal.
2. In the Protected replies section, choose one of the following options:

  • SMS: receive a secure authentication code;

  • Microsoft: authenticate using your Microsoft account.

Notes
Make sure your mobile phone number and country code are entered correctly if you use SMS protection, as the authentication code will be sent by text message.

3. Click Save.
