How do I activate an uninitialized license in Outlook?

If, in the Secure Exchanges tab, "About" section, you see the message: "Your license is not initialized," this means that your license has been deactivated or has never been activated on this workstation.

Here is the complete procedure to activate your license.

  1. You will see a new Secure Exchanges tab in the Outlook ribbon. Open it.


  2. Click on "Get my license back"

  3. Complete the captcha and click "Send"

    You will receive an activation link by email.
    1. When you open the activation email, you will see a message asking you to confirm activation on this device; select "Yes".

3. Check your license status

To verify that the activation was successful, return to the Secure Exchanges tab. Your license status should now display "Enabled".
