Is it possible to keep my sent items unencrypted?
By default, Secure Exchanges encrypts sent items to maximize the security of your communications.
Warning: We do not recommend keeping your sent items unencrypted, as this reduces the level of protection of your data. However, this option remains available if your organization requires it.
Step 1: Open the Secure Exchanges settings
- Open Outlook.
- In the top ribbon, click the Secure Exchanges tab.
- Select Settings.
Step 2: Keep your sent items unencrypted
- In the settings window, check the option "Do not encrypt my sent items".
- Click Save to apply the change.
The change takes effect immediately for all future emails sent from Outlook.
