How to Enable or Disable Read Receipts in Outlook ?

Enable or disable open acknowledgments (Outlook)

Read receipts allow you to receive a notification when a recipient opens one of your secure emails. You can choose to enable or disable this option at any time.

Steps to follow

  1. Open Outlook and select the Secure Exchanges tab in the top ribbon.

  2. Click on Settings .

  3. In the window that appears, look for the " Message settings" section.

  4. Check or uncheck the option according to your preference:

    • Checked : you will receive a notification each time a message is opened.

    • Unchecked : no notification will be sent.

  5. Click on "Save settings" to apply your changes.

The changes will take effect immediately for all your future emails sent from Outlook.
