Important: Cancellation of a signer is only possible if all files to be signed use digital certification as the signature method.
Access the signatory order management

- Select the relevant signature transaction from the list.
- Click on the Manage order option.

The Order of Signatories window opens and displays the list of all signatories to the transaction, in their current signing order.

To reorganize the order in which your signatories receive the document:
Cancel a signatory's signature
- In the list of signatories, locate the person whose signature you wish to cancel.
- Click the Cancel button (red prohibition icon 🚫) to the right of their email address.

The cancelled signer will appear crossed out in the list, with a Restore option in case you change your mind.
- A configuration section appears allowing you to define how the canceled signer fields will appear in the final document .
Note: Once all remaining signatures are completed, you will receive a secure message to confirm the cancellation . If you are one of the signatories, this confirmation will occur when you sign.
Cancellation options
When you cancel a signer, two sets of options allow you to control the visual rendering and content of the canceled fields in the final document.
Cancellation style for signatures and initials
These options determine the visual appearance of the signature and initials boxes of the cancelled signer.
| Option | Description | When to use it |
|---|
| Completed | The box is highlighted by a grey border without an internal mark. | For a discreet cancellation, when you simply want to indicate that a signature is no longer required. |
| Rod | A diagonal red line crosses the signature box. | To clearly indicate the cancellation while keeping the document legible and professional. |
| Cross | A large red cross (X) is placed on the square. | For a very visible cancellation, when it is essential that anyone viewing the document immediately understands that this signature has been cancelled. |
Cancellation style for other fields
These options determine what happens to the other fields (text, dates, checkboxes, etc.) that had been assigned to the cancelled signer.
| Option | Description | When to use it |
|---|
| Keep the values | The information already entered by the user (if any) is retained as is in the document. | When the information entered remains relevant and must be preserved in the final document. |
| Clear the values | The fields are emptied of their content, but remain visible in the document. | When the entered data is no longer relevant, but you wish to retain the document structure. |
| Empty and lock | The fields are emptied and locked, preventing any further modification. | When you want to ensure that no data will be added to these fields and guarantee the integrity of the document. |
Important: Once you confirm the operation (next step), it will no longer be possible to restore a canceled signer. Be sure to double-check your list before confirming.
Confirm and finalize the cancellation
Once you have made your style choices and revised your list of signatories:
- Click Save to confirm your configuration.
- A confirmation message appears at the bottom of the screen: "Confirm cancellations and the new order?"
Click on:
Irreversible action: Clicking YES makes the cancellation final . Cancelled signatories cannot be restored, even if they still appear in the list. Once the confirmation has been completed:
- The signing process continues with the remaining signatories, in the new order defined.
- Once all remaining signatures are completed, you will receive a message to confirm the cancellation. If you are one of the signatories, this confirmation will occur when you sign.
