Guide to assist you in configuring and installing SESAR.

Here is a simple and detailed guide to assist you in the configuration and installation of SESAR.

1. Creation of the SESAR user
Start by installing the latest version of SESAR, available on our website.

Once the installation is complete, log in to the Secure Exchanges online portal and create a SESAR user with a valid email address. It is crucial that the address is valid, as all alerts and notifications will be sent there.
Alert
Make sure the person configuring SESAR has the rights to create new users in the Secure Exchanges online portal.

Info
Ensure that the user has access to this email address and that it is different from the administrator's email address.

2. Assigning the SESAR license

Once the SESAR user is created, you must assign them a SESAR license. This can be easily done from the user management interface. This step is essential to allow access to SESAR’s functionalities.

3. Configuring SESAR parameters

Next, click on the gear icon to access the SESAR configuration interface. Here are the main settings to configure:

  • SESAR Configuration Name: Assign an identifiable name to this configuration.
  • Temporary folder path: Define a path to the temporary folder where temporary files will be downloaded on the server where the SESAR service will be installed.

  • Info
It is essential to define a secure storage folder for synchronized data. You also have the option to locally encrypt these data, which is highly recommended to ensure information security.

    4.  Finalizing the installation

Once the configuration is complete, click Generate. A window will display a password (pwd). This password is required to unlock the confirmation email that you will receive at the SESAR email address associated with your license. Two files will also be downloaded, which you'll need later.

          i. Confirm the SESAR configuration using the e-mail and password displayed.
    Alert
Please note that you have 10 minutes to confirm; otherwise, the message will be destroyed.

    Warning
You must be logged in as an administrator or as a user with the necessary rights to authorize the activation of SESAR.

          ii. Start the SESAR service.
iii.  Place the two previously downloaded files in the path: <sesar installation folder>\installer\NewInstance
    Notes
Placed files should disappear after a maximum of one minute.
iv. Check the logs to confirm that the configuration has started correctly. The logs can be found at: <SESAR installation folder>\Trace_[month].log
          v. If the installation was successful, you will receive a password-protected email at the SESAR email address and the e-mail addresses of your account administrators, containing the file instance.json.
    Idea
The password to open this email can be found in the log file accessed in step iii.

    Alert
You must store this file in a secure location, as it contains your encryption keys.
