How to install and activate Secure Exchanges?

1. How to install the extension

IdeaBefore you begin: Make sure to close Microsoft Outlook.

1.1. Go to our website (Secure Exchanges – Cybersecurity Technology) to download the plugin that matches your email account (Microsoft Outlook).

AlertImportant: Do not run the installation in admin mode.

1.2. Click “Download” to install the required plugins.


Notes
For Outlook, downloading the signature plugin is essential to use the electronic signature service.

1.3. Run the downloaded files

After downloading, open your Downloads folder.

You should see two files:

  1. setup.exe

  2. file.zip



Installing the setup.exe file

  1. To start the installation, double-click on the setup.exe file.
  2. In the window that appears, click “Install”.
  3. Wait until the installation process is complete.

Installing the .zip file

Double-click on the .zip file, then open SecureExchangesOASF.msi.

If a security message appears:

  • Click “More info”

  • Then click “Run anyway”

  • The installer will open. Click “Next” through each step until the installation is complete.
     

Notes
Depending on your computer’s configuration, you may need administrator rights to run the installation.

Once the installation is complete, continue with the next steps to activate your license.


2. How to activate your license

2.1. Once the plugin is installed, open your Outlook mailbox.

A new “Secure Exchanges” tab will appear in your Outlook navigation ribbon.


2.2.
Click on the “Secure Exchanges” tab.

2.3. If your license is inactive, click “Get my licence back.”

2.4. Verify your email address, complete the CAPTCHA to confirm you’re not a robot, then click “Send.”

2.5. Confirm the activation of your license on your device by selecting “Yes.”

2.6. Go back to the “Secure Exchanges” tab.
Your license status should now indicate “Active.”
