When using Secure Exchanges to send confidential documents from Gmail, you will see the pop-up window below:
Indeed, this applies when you write on the body of your email expressions such as "attachments, attached, etc.".
Due to the configuration of Gmail, it shows you this message when it does not detect any attachment in the email although you have mentioned one of the above expressions in your email.
This is because when using Secure Exchanges, it encrypts attachments before being sent to the Secure Exchanges servers. They are thus unreadable for Gmail at the time of sending the email and it considers that there are no attachments in this case.
Attachments only pass through the Secure Exchanges server.
Therefore, to be able to send your email and the attachments included, you only have to click on the "Ok" button to confirm that you wish to send the email even if it does not contain any documents attached.
Attachments will be sent encrypted and secure through the Secure Exchanges server and will be delivered to your recipient.
If you ever click on the "Cancel" button by mistake, you must refresh the page. The email will end up in your drafts. You can then click on it and resend it, but this time without securing it because the encryption of the attachments was done before you clicked Cancel. All you have to do is click Send and then when the Secure Exchanges pop-up window appears, click "Send without Secure Exchanges".
