What is the role of SEWD (Secure Exchanges Watch Dog)?

The purpose of the SEWD (Secure Exchanges Watch Dog) is to monitor the user's registry keys in order to prevent Microsoft Outlook from disabling the connector.

If the SEWD fails to do the job due to the policy of the organization, then the administrator can add via GPOs the following registry key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\Resiliency\AddinList
