Is it possible to choose the type of certificate that I want to assign to my document when signing it?

When signing your documents with Secure Exchanges, a signing certificate from Secure Exchanges is added to your document.

However, you have the possibility, when defining the signature zones, to choose the type of certificate that you want to assign to your document. To learn more about the difference between the two certificates, we prefer you to read this article.

To do so, you can check one of the two boxes below:

  1. If you check the box "Do not add Secure Exchanges signing certificates to the document", no certificate will be assigned to your document. You can, however, verify it on our site by following these steps.
  2. If you check the "Use digital signature certificates" box, then your document will be certified with a PKI digital signature certificate.
