How to Install Secure Exchanges on Outlook Web ?

Warning
To ensure you follow the correct installation procedure, first identify whether you have access to the Microsoft Office 365 Administration Center.  If you are an administrator in your organization, you should have this access. If you don't have access and you're not part of an organization, follow the second procedure.

Procedure #1: For users with access to the Microsoft Office 365 Administrator Portal.

Step 1: Log in to Microsoft 365 Admin Center

  1. Go to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center and log in.
  2. Once logged in, access Settings in the left-hand menu, then select Integrated Apps .

Step 2: Deploy an application

  1. Select the Upload Custom App option by clicking on the corresponding button.

Step 3: Choose the type of application to deploy

  1. In the drop-down list, select Office Add in as the type of application to be deployed.

  1. Copy the manifest link below and paste it in the field labelled Provide link to manifest    
  2. https://office365.secure-exchanges.com/SecureExchanges.xml
  1. Validate the added information, then click Next to proceed to the next step.

Step 4: Choose the deployment method

  1. At this stage, you can deploy Secure Exchanges for yourself only, for all users in your organization or for a specific group.
  1. Fill in the necessary fields and click Next to finalize deployment.

Step 5: Check deployment and manage deployment method

  1. Once deployment is complete, Secure Exchanges will appear in the list of available applications visible in your Microsoft Admin Center.
  1. Click on Add in, then select Secure Exchanges to access the management options.
  1. On this page, you can choose the most favorable deployment option for your organization. Here are the possible choices: 
Info
Fixed: the add-in Secure Exchanges will be automatically deployed in the interface of assigned users, who will not be able to remove it from their ribbon.
Available: users will be able to install this add-in by clicking on the ''Get more add-ins'' button in the Outlook Web/New home ribbon, and will have to put it in their ribbon themselves.
Optional: The add-in will be automatically deployed to assigned users, but they can choose to remove it from their Ribbon. 
Warning
We recommend the Fixed (default) option, as this ensures that the add-in remains visible and functional for all users concerned.


Important note
  1. Secure Exchanges may take up to 24 hours to install.

Procedure #2: For users without access to the Microsoft Office 365 Administrator Portal.

Step 1. Download XML File:

  1. Go to this link: https://office365.secure-exchanges.com/SecureExchanges.xml
  2. Right-click and select “Save as” to download the XML file.
        

Step 2. Access Outlook Web/New :

  1. Open Outlook Web/New.
  2. Create a new message.

Step 3. Add Extension:

  1. Click on “Applications”, then on “Get Add-ins”.

  1. Go to the “My add-ins” section and click on “Add a custom add-in” at the bottom of the page.
           
  1. Click on “Add from File” and insert the downloaded XML file.

Step 4. License activation

Once you've added the plug-in to your Outlook New/Web interface, you can activate your Secure Exchanges license as follows: 

1. Access to Outlook Web: Log in to your Outlook Web interface and start by creating a new message.


2. Opening Applications: Click on the applications icon.


3. Selecting Secure Exchanges: From the list of applications, choose the Secure Exchanges tab.

If the Secure Exchanges icon does not appear, follow the instructions by clicking here.

3.1. Pin the Secure Exchanges window: A window will appear on the right side of your screen. Pin it by clicking on this icon.



4. Accessing Settings: Select the "Settings" option within Secure Exchanges.



5. Activating the License: Enter your license activation code and click on "activate my license".



6. Email Confirmation: You will receive a confirmation email. Open it and select "activate your license".



7. Final Authorization: Click "Yes," then "Authorize" to complete the process.




8. Logging into Your Account: Log in to your account.



9. Completion: Your license is now activated and ready for use."
